Acute Sinusitis Treatment

The Primary Care Physician Workgroup has been working on our first care redesign initiative, and our group of primary care providers would like to work with you to improve our treatment of Acute Sinusitis. Acute Sinusitis was chosen as an initial project to educate ourselves and our patients on the most recent evidence for treatment.

Cervical Cancer Screening Guidelines

The OB/GYN Workgroup identified their clinical recommendations for medical providers who screen patients for early detection of cervical cancer. These practice guidelines embrace recommendations from The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology (ACOG) and U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) regarding the frequency of obtaining cervical cytology specimens (pap smears) and the use of HPV screening.

Pharmacy & Therapeutics

The Pharmacy and Therapeutics Workgroup is actively working with pharmacists, physicians, and administrative leaders from both health systems to create uniformity in prescribing guidelines. The P&T committee is engaged in reviewing current prescribing patterns and offering recommendations for pharmaceutical protocols, which meet P&T standards for efficacy, create better uniformity between inpatient and outpatient settings, and take cost efficiency into mind.
